Plate 5.

 Jack Webber is in trance while tied to the twin armed chair by arms and legs, whilst the table is being levitated by the Spirit World. Notice the ectoplasm, which is generally visible when being used by the Spirit World as support of the object being levitated, is invisible to the photographic film.

While linking with the Spirit World, a table of 45 lb is levitated by the manipulation of gravity and etheric force. Note the absence of physically constructed ectoplasmic rods as the ectoplasm was invisible to the camera. [see  chapter X111 of the Mediumship of Arnold Clare by Harry Edwards.].
